Mike's Pick of the Week

California is next after a very exciting finish at Daytona. Who would of thought Kurt Busch would be teammate of the year. He gets my vote along with Ryan Newman's. What a push! Can the Penske Dodges repeat in California? Don't count on it.

I still think the Gibbs Toyotas are going to have to be reckoned with. That engine package that Gibbs has put together is still second to none in my book. Then you through Kyle Busch in there and man you got something. Will Gibbs cross the finish line first? Like the 500 I think they will be up front but not the first ones to cross the finish line.
Jack Roush and his fleet of Fords own this 2-mile race track. Matt Kenseth has won two of the last four races here at California. In the 06 race here at California Roush cars peppered the top ten with a 1st, 3rd, 6th and 9th place finish. The only driver in the Roush camp that didn't finish in the top ten was Greg Biffle. Greg finished 42nd with blown engine but lead 168 laps of the 250 laps before it let go. Now that is dominance!
Roush with his history at California I have to go with Matt Kenseth to win this weekend. Matt is a crew chief on wheels and with this being the first race here at California in the COT that knowledge is going to come in handy. You couple Matt's knowledge with Jack Roush history here at California and it is a no-brainer. Matt Kenseth my pick of the week.
